Bank of American is buying $1.5 billion in cloud performance solutions for the bank’s customer service and information technology teams.
The deal, which is expected to close in early 2018, will allow the bank to improve the efficiency of its web applications and to provide more flexibility for its data center infrastructure.
The purchase will include CloudWatch, a software toolkit that provides real-time monitoring of Web applications for the data center.
The bank will use CloudWatch to manage the data centers and provide customers with real-world performance monitoring, said Ben Stiller, the bank vice president of cloud solutions and strategy.
The cloud performance solution also provides real time visibility of the application performance, Stiller said.
The transaction is expected in early 2019.
